«Möwe» Hall

The «Möwe» Hall, («seagull») features glass gulls, which were designed by former «Glasi» patron Roberto Niederer for Mövenpick inventor Ueli Prager on the occasion of the opening of the first Mövenpick restaurant in 1953 in Zurich. Seagulls floating mid-air – what a symbol for Roberto Niederer! He was born land-locked, but lived his life like a free-flying bird. He was the son of a woman from Calabria and a man from Appenzell. Businessmen called him an artist – artists called him a businessman. Here at «Glasi», he was known as both a visionary and a father figure.
Seats 52.

Romantic. Head in the clouds. Profound.

«Buchwalder» Hall

In the «Buchwalder» Hall, glass panes from the 1980s are inscribed with the story of the close artistic friendship between Lucerne painter Ernst Buchwalder (1941–2014) and Roberto Niederer.
Seats 48.

Poetic. Spontaneous. Independent.

«Flugi» Hall

The «Flugi» Hall will surprise you with another work of art: locally prominent artist Hans Küchler (1929–2001) from Olten collaborated with Roberto Niderer on the glass «Glasi» aeroplanes. Küchler, who was known as «Flügerlimaler» («painter of little aeroplanes»), documented this process extensively in documents.
Seats 30, also suitable as a meeting room. Meetings up to 3 hours: room rental including multimedia technology CHF 150.–.
Day meetings over 3 hours: room rental including multimedia technology CHF 200.-.

Dreamlike. Playful. Delicate.
